3 - Silence the undead crier (centre of area with corpses [2])
4 - Rid the area of tunnel dwellers (4)
5 - Put the nurse out of her misery (see step 7 below)
6 - Confront the mayor of Ashton (steps 8-12 below)
7 - Kill the bastard (Ro, see step 2 below)
8 - Get rid of the fire demon (see step 3 below)
9 - Explore the volcano (1u from step 2 below) [The Rim of the Mount]
10 - Cut off the volcanic eruption at its source (step 15 below)

Explore walkthrough

1. From southern @ find the boy with the pump and and Draug with the gate key.
Kill and loot. Both load near southern entrance, often in the first room of the
zone.
2. From south entrance go all north unlock gate open gate all-n e n u 2e u s w u e
kill Ro the Bastard (blocker) [ u follwo path all the way to the t0p]
3. u (illus) n find the Fire Demon (wanders this 3x3 area) Ice and loot
4. Cast transport d s 3e all-s w s e [The Watering Hole] search s search all-d
5. Ice at least 10 hollow corpses in this area and on the path to the end of the walkthrough
6. From entrance to this area n e dispel and kill Crier
7. all e unlock (pick) door open door n dispel and kill Nurse Kana loot key
this appears to be a regen room
8. s unlock stalactite; open stalactite s 2e Kill Klog loot key
9. w unlock stalactite; open stalactite s 2w pick/unlock door open door s Kill Edo
loot key
10. n unlock stalactite open stalactite w kill lava
11. w all s unlock door open door s kill guards loot candlestick
move quickly to step 12 as these blockers repop fast!
12. unlock trapdoor open trapdoor u kill Mayor (muffle) Loot him. If door relocks
and u cant exit n (as in step below), c transport, go d s and all the ay to
the sw corner of town into a shop The Baker's Dozen. Buy pizza, unl oven, n,
search, d.
(If you die fighting the mayor, u may fail the explore and some of the mobs dont
reload the keys u need)
13. d 9n kill 4 tunnel dwellers along the path n
14. all n search 2n kill Great Blades
15. open gate n kill Eruptor (muffle him)


Ashton doesn't load any particularly interesting eq, but since Wikievia
doesn't have a zone walkthrough for Ashton and we just finished the explore,
I thought I'd write it up.

Get the pump handle and the gate key from the boy and Draug (respectively) wandering
near the southern entrance to the zone.

Go to the watering hole, search in the second room, s, search, d, d, kill corpses
and the undead crier. (tough for single classes). Muffle, vuln to fire

Go down the e hall, following it, killing all the mobs behind doors for the key to
the next part. On the third or fourth mob you'll get the gold City key.

Go west, then all south, unlocking as needed, kill guards, unlock trapdoor with
the candlestick, ice mayor and loot ring.

Head back north, past the square, killing the women in the hallway. Women load
"a pair of shoes made of cloth lava", lowbie hp feet eq.

Trans, s, e until there's a closed gate north. Unlock gate and follow path north
and up

Kill Ro the Bastard, "an insane man wielding a large sword...".

Up, w, n, n, e to explore the volcano. Kill the Fire Demon who loads there.
You should be done with explore at this point!

Key that loads on demon seems to just be another entrance to the underground square.
