CATACOMBS:

TUTORIAL:

On entry, eat Raephardim root and cast map: roots protect against cave coral
and slugs. They are steal-able from blind hermits.
Map helps u remember where you have already been and see where others have
been. You need to look at inventory of mobs, with det invis on to see if
they have any eggs. Sneak and invis always.
Make trigger to get all if you enter a room with eggs on ground.

Dreamweaver girl: have to have NO FORM , no charmies or anything to use her.
Just Rest in the room with her
She will teleport you randomly, but she may send you somewhere dangerous.
I use her if im stuck somewhere there are already too many tracks
It isn't always a good idea to use her because the lower levels are
harder especially for non-mages cause you cant make traps or shield room.

Lower levels: there are more eggs on the ground but the mobs are worse so it's
a trade off. Until u are a quad, i would stay on the top two levels.

Top levels: 1) sprites, lichens and bears are easy to kill.
Rae bats are fairly easy to blind if u want to fight a mob in the room
with them. They and slugs have no benefits and are merely annoying.
2) Centipedes: The trick for cents is after the first dies, flee and
invis. Then return to the room and pick up eggs off ground. If you are
fast enough, u can invis, get all, and then walk out before the
other segments notice.
3)Blackness has no target word, so u cant't look at it for eggs. Attack
(with a room spell) only after wind has damaged stuff nearby.
4)Vampire bats : fairly high hps.

Charmies: Lichen, Eels and Cave weeds can be charmed. Even if you fail charm
and have to flee, they don't remain aggro.
1) Sprites attach themselves to you like a charmie. They, with eels and
lichens join your form, but you must cast mass lev on them and even so, they will
sometimes get left behind so they aren't completely reliable, especially
the sprites. I usually kill the sprites if they have eggs.
2) After you have charmed, "order drop all" , then get all. Be sure
to unform it afterwards or the next time you charm, the mob may attack
cause there is no room for it to join the form.
3) Weeds have a lot of HP but they won't leave their room, so they are
only good as tanks if you are fighting a mob in their room.
4) Eels are hiddens in or near water rooms, they also make great tanks.
5) You can also charm whirlwinds, who don't usually have eggs but they do
have very high HP's and will also form.

Wind: 1) when you get a warning that wind is building, flee from fight IMMEDIATELY
and sit. (not rest, sit) until the wind crests and declines again.
If you get caught in wind, you get flung against a wall, and about a third
of your eggs get smashed and become useless. (get all.smashed container,
drop all.smashed)
2) the good thing about wind is it damages the mobs also, allowing you to
kill them all very easily, which means that you can fight hard mobs you
would normally not bother with.

REAPER: if u get caught in the reaper, you can't do anything at all until it
lets you go. No danger, just annoying.

Coil and other special mini-areas: Sometimes you suddenly find yourself in
an unfamiliar area with unusual mobs: if NOT fighting, Type "leave" and
you will go back where you were.

CPK: This is below the bottom level. There are more eggs on the ground but
its very dangerous and easy to die. Don't form, trap, and move very fast.

OTHER MOBS;
1) Metamorph: Hidden mob. Can load randomly on any level. If you find it,
ask for help. There is usually someone who will go to combs to help kill
it for its valuable reclass coin.
2) Mind Phantasm is a powerful sanct, caster. Not worth trying to kill.
3) Sludge or mist mephits: Dangerous, hidden backstabber or caster. Avoid them.
4) Mael and drow are melee ,fairly hard but can be killed if you really want to
spend the time.
5) Octopus and spider are also melee, with high hps. If solo, not worth the time.
6) Draconets and crystal dragons. Not worth it. One has a talon which is a component.
7) Chimera and banshee : DEFINITELY not worth it, except if they are hurt by wind.
8) Wolves have perm fireshield. They are fairly easy to kill if you can withstand
a few rounds.
